Ling Rinpoche's young tulk seems to have miraculously survived the car accident, altho the driver was less fortunate. They were on their way from Drepung to meet the Dalai Lama at Goa airport. Here's a scan of the newspaper article on the episode. Rinpoche is in the hospital with two broken legs and a broken hip, but no life-threatening problems.

A photo I uploaded a couple of weeks ago from Paris, but here slightly adjusted. Dali complained that in the former one I was too close to the naked ladies, and thus cramped his style. In this image I take a step back and give him a tad more space.
